Today is National Teacher's Day. So, honor your teachers. Don't try to weasel out of it because you're no longer in school or you don't formally study anything.
You learn every day. So - your assignment for the day is to figure out who your teachers are. What did you learn and from whom? Did you learn fortitude and patience from your long-suffering mother? Did you learn tenacity and perserverance from your son who struggled with turning his C's into B's to make you proud ?
Did you learn compassion from a total stranger when you saw him give a $1 to a homelss person. Did you learn gratitude from the homeless person?
Honor those who teach - and don't forget to include yourself in that category?

On this teacher's day I salute my dear departed cat, Crosby. He taught me that when what I'm doing isn't working, do the exact opposite. Many times this works and when it doesn't work, is does so in a big way. I call this Cat Ying Yang theory. He also taught me that love is so important that it periodically requires you to drop everything and give the one closest to you a hug. I suspect he was my grandfather reincarnated...
